The Invites

We chose to DIY these. Now looking back, I don't think I really saved any money by DIYing these, but I definitely love them and am happy to say we did them ourselves.  We bought most of the paper from Cards and Pockets during a sale.  My only complaint is that they didn't include enough white card stock and some of the paper got damaged during shipping (but not so badly that I couldn't use it)

I designed the main invite and the inserts in Microsoft word using a  imagine I found (in clip art!) and because I didn't want anymore color I change the imaged to black and white.  The lining up and making the printing as efficient as possible was difficult, but do-able.  Then after said paper was all printed, I cut them all down to size.  Dj's mom had an amazing scrapbook paper cutter that I used.  (Thanks Bonnie!)

For the belly band- Dj's mom cut 150 2x3 pieces of white card stock.  We used the scrap paper left over from the invites and inserts (go green!)  And Dj himself handstamped our custom stamp in orange ink. (all these projects we a family affair and everyone who helped deserves great thanks!!!)  Then with precut 1 foot lengths of lime green satin ribbon, we assembled and glued taped all of them.

Did I mention our super cute stamps?  My Aunt Liz and Uncle Rick were very generous and bought these custom stamps.  The RSVP envelopes will the picture of the flowers. And half the outer invite envelopes will have the stamp of the two of us together, and the other half will have the boots stamp.
